ACTIVE SUCCESSFULLY DELIVERS TICKETING APPLICATION FOR THE BT SPORT INDUSTRY AWARDS

Active pioneered a guest management and ticketing service for the BT Sport Industry Awards 2017, the largest and most acclaimed celebration of the UK sport industry. The event was attended by 1,700 industry leaders and their guests at a star-studded event at Battersea Evolution in London. Celebrities included Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill, Tom Daley, Nico Rosberg, Laura Kenny, Max Whitlock, Wes Morgan, Chris Eubank, David Haye and Jodie Kidd.

Access control this year was managed through a customised BT Sport Industry Awards app. Prior to the event, guests who opted in were sent an email prompting them to download the app in order to authenticate and access their digital tickets. On the night of the event Active  oversaw all aspects of the access control, ensuring secure and seamless identity based security.

Digital and paper tickets holders were checked in using the Sport Industry Group’s brand new Attendees Management Platform, which enabled the organisers to track pre-event adoption rate and event attendance in real time.

The deployment of the new solution was a huge success with guest adoption rate largely exceeding all expectations.

Alex Coulson, executive director of Sport Industry Group, commented:

“We needed to be certain that the mobile ticket and event app would integrate seamlessly to the running of the BT Sport Industry Awards and add significant value to our guests and our partners. We worked very closely with the wonderful Active team to create this new offering, providing all event information, exclusive content and of course ensure secure and controlled access to the venue. We were delighted with the adoption rate of the app by the guests and we are confident that the app will continue to deliver even more in the years to come.”

Active were also proud sponsors of the Entertainment Experience of the Year Award. The category comprised of a remarkable shortlist, making Madison Sports Group’s victory particularly compelling.

Well done to all the winners and to Sport Industry Group on delivering yet another incredible event!
